The Loire Valley in 2 days and 1 night

To get to know this region quietly and smoothly, we suggest a 2 days walk and 1 night in the region of the Valley of la Loire.

This circuit is intended to present what usually you will not find in any other proposal.

We suggest a visit to 6 important Castles of the region:

Blois Castle, built between the 17th and 18th centuries. It was the residence of several Kings and also the place where Joan of Arc received the blessing of the Archbishop of Reims in 1429, before leaving to fight the British. The spiral staircase is the most famous architectural works;

Château de Chambord, the largest castle of the Loire Valley. Its construction was led by François I, only to serve as a hunting lodge. It features 128 meters of façade, 440 rooms, 365 fireplaces and 84 staircases, besides the spectacular double-helix staircase. Work of Leonardo da Vinci;

Château de Cheverny, a small and cozy furnished Castle, renowned for its rich interior and the beautiful collection of objects of art and tapestry. Also served as an inspiration for Hergé – the creator of Moulinsart Castle in the adventures of Tintin.

Château d’Amboise, this castle is one of the earliest Royal residences. Steeped in history, it offers an exceptional collection of Gothic and Renaissance furniture. The landscaped garden offers a beautiful view of the Loire Valley and the chapel where we found the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci.

Manoir Le Clós Lucé, where Leonardo da Vinci spent the last three years of his life. It has a cultural park consecrating the thousand aesthetic and technical facets of Leonardo da Vinci. Fun is guaranteed, we can test their inventions in natural size.

Chenonceaux Castle one of the jewels of the Loire Valley with its Renaissance architecture. The French gardens and the park around itbring more charm to the castle.
